Girls Lacrosse FAQs

When is your main season?

Spring, from early February to mid-May.

Where are practices and games?

Our home fields are Wilder Sports Fields in Orinda. Practice days and times vary by age group.

8U girls practice for one hour once per week. 10U girls practice for one hour, twice a week. 12U and 14U girls practice for 1.5 hours, twice a week.

Is lacrosse safe to play?

Safety is our top priority. We follow USA Lacrosse safety guidelines, provide certified coaching, and ensure all players wear the required protective equipment. Coaches are trained in concussion protocols as well. Girls’ lacrosse is primarily a non-contact sport, and we emphasize safety and sportsmanship at all times.

What is the game schedule?

Teams typically play roughly ten games per season, including home and away games against other local programs. We also participate in mid-season and/or end-of-season tournaments. Nearly all games are scheduled on weekends, mostly Saturdays, but some Sundays as well. 8U and 10U games are mostly played within about a 25-minute drive. 12U and 14U games are mostly local, but can be up to an hour or so away.

What Parents Say

  • "Our daughter started with Lamorinda Lacrosse having never played before. Thanks to the supportive coaches and staff, she has developed into a strong player and now plays year-round—but she still has the most fun with Lamo teams and camps. It’s been an incredible environment for our daughter and for us as parents."

The Taylor Family, 12U girls parents

  • "Lamorinda Lacrosse has been a hugely positive experience for our daughter. The coaches are exceptional and she now loves the game. I can't recommend it highly enough."
