About Lamorinda Lacrosse
Lamorinda Lacrosse is a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth lacrosse program serving boys and girls in Lafayette, Moraga, and Orinda. Since 1980, our mission has been to grow the sport of lacrosse in our community by providing a fun, inclusive, and competitive environment for players of all backgrounds and experience levels. Lamorinda Lacrosse is the longest-standing and one of the largest youth lacrosse programs in the east bay area and is a member of the East Bay Lacrosse League (EBLL). We offer coaching from experienced staff, local high school and college athletes, and dedicated parent volunteers, all supported by a committed board of directors.
We welcome players from ages 6 to 14, offering teams across four age divisions:
8U: Ages 6–8 (Kindergarten–2nd grade)
10U: Ages 9–10 (3rd–4th grade)
12U: Ages 11–12 (5th–6th grade)
14U: Ages 13–14 (7th–8th grade)
Whether your child is picking up a lacrosse stick for the first time or preparing for high school tryouts, we provide the coaching, structure, and support they need to develop their skills and confidence.
Season Structure
Our main season runs from early February to mid-May, with weekly practices and weekend games. Each team plays approximately 10 games per season, with potential multi-game tournaments during or at the end of the season.

10U – 2x/week (1 to 1.5 hours)
12U & 14U – 2x/week (1.5 hours)
Games:
Most games are played on Saturdays (occasional Sundays), and game travel varies by age:
8U & 10U: mostly within 25 minutes
12U & 14U: primarily local, with some games up to an hour away
Home field: Wilder Sports Fields in Orinda; a modern turf field in a beautiful setting.
Year-Round Opportunities
While spring is our core season, we also offer:
Fall Ball Clinics
Summer Camps
Offseason skills training
These programs are perfect for new players looking to try lacrosse and for returning players looking to keep developing.
Inclusive and Player-Focused
We welcome players of all experience levels—no prior playing experience is required. It’s never too late to start learning the game, even for players in middle school. Our coaching philosophy emphasizes player growth, sportsmanship, and fun. Our players, parents, and volunteers all commit to our Lamorinda Lacrosse Code of Conduct focused on positivity, high-integrity, and sportsmanship at all times.
Coaching Excellence
Our coaching staff includes experienced parent volunteers—many of whom have played and/or coached at the high school, club, or up to NCAA Division I college level—as well as paid high school and college players who bring energy and relatability to the field.
All coaches are USA Lacrosse certified and undergo background checks. Across all age groups, we are fortunate to have dedicated coaches focused on teaching fundamentals in a way that’s fun, challenging, and rewarding. Meet a few of our awesome coaches below.
